Question Verizon Android ever?

Does anyone have any word on an eventual Android phone on Verizon? I saw this article (http://www.9to5mac.com/cdma-iphone-verizon-sprint) which made me worry about the future of a Verizon Android.

Anything out there to confirm or deny?

Last I saw, Verizon sent people to a recent Android developers conference. Motorola has also ramped up their Android development team. I'd be surprised if Verizon did not jump on Android.

I think if any of the OHA members were taking a wait and see approach, this has changed after the G1 launch. Just my thoughts..

Default Fat Chance!

I have verizon i have 5 lines with them. I read the blackberry storm which is coming to them, they will no doubt disable wifi on it. I left them for the G1 for this reason verizon disables anything on their phones that does not make them money!!!

I tried the Blackberry Storm and it was horrendously laggy. I highly doubt Verizon will ever allow Android OS onto their phones because they are all about making money.

If Android OS is so customizable, they will lose money on games, apps, and etc. VZW nickels and dimes you for everything.

Would Verizon have the G1 along with their new blackberry? I do not know. It seems like they would want to keep to what is exclusively theirs, at least for a while. Maybe when sales die down on the Storm, they will pick up the G1 (might be the G2 by that point.)

So you buy a phone with them and because it is not making money, you no longer can use the function of the phone which might be the reason that a person bought that phone to begin with. If they just offer free wi-fi then it would never be an issue. I think all these companies are just money hungry.
