OpenMoko might just be the next manufacturer to release an Android device. Fuzzy pics come to us courtesy of iMAndroid and show us what appear to be the Neo FreeRunner device running Android. Sources say OpenMoko is preparing for a worldwide release.

Yet another manufacturer is on board for a 2009 release of an Android-powered phone. We just heard about Samsung's Android release for Sprint and now it appears GPS giant Garmin is expected to release a phone in late 2009. Garmin has also reiterated their promise to bring the Garmin Nuvifone to market in 09'.

Samsung will release their Android-based gPhone in the second quarter of next year on Sprint Wireless and possibly T-Mobile. The company has added 30 experts in Linux and Java bringing the total to over 80 developers working on this project. Sprint wants the gPhone added to their lineup and fast.

There has been an ongoing battle of sorts between Apple and Adobe over flash for the iPhone. To date, Apple or should I say Steve Jobs will not allow Flash on the iPhone. Here's where the open-source goodness of Android and the G1 pound their collective chests. UPDATE: Video demo after the break.
